Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Does anyone still use deviantart? I'm sure there are millions but I certainly don't... as much as I used to anyway. Things like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have made sharing on deviantart seem like an ancient form of communication. Perhaps DA needs a better app for mobile users?

Maybe I'm wrong and speaking for myself but nonetheless I still use and NEED deviantart to post high resolution pieces for my portfolio. Question, If facebook allowed for high resolution image posting would we still be here?

What are your thoughts? Where are you these days?

actually I only follow you here, I think of deviantart as a library specific just for art and photography I woundnt change it for facebook or instagram (I dont like twitter.) I think DA have something special for this website I think it would be nice to have an application for your phone it will be hell a lot of easier in the go but for the mean while I like this!

I used to post some art on Facebook, but I stopped when somebody informed me that Facebook's legal terms meant that Facebook can do as it pleases/owns whatever you post.

I'm not sure how evil they are about this but I also don't want to annoy my friends and family with my art.

First off your work is some of my favorite!

Second facebook has photo rights - please read the accepted terms for users carefully- so artists who haven't copyrighted their stuff yet- be wary That's interesting thought to keep in mind. I know it's not applicable to you, Alvin Lee, but I didn't know it until a few years ago. If I am misreading it, anyone feel free to correct me!

Third I used to use deviantArt a little bit for my high school and undergraduate traditional art, but now I am pushing myself to transfer over into graphic design --and you're one of my first role models for graphic design, please keep dr posting!

Also I use my wordpres blog drawfromlife.wordpress.com to track my beginnings and connect with people too.

If you have anytime, could you check out my stuff and give my feedback? I used graphicdeisgn forum and they gave me honest feedback (basically I'm a SUPER noob)!

Anyways, if nothing else: your work and your beginning story - your interview on your website- helped me out a ton.

I mainly use Facebook due to lack of something better but Deviantart still remains the go to place for art and designs for me. That being said I agree that Deviantart does need its site reboot to compete on the other social media sites that get more attention.
