Morrigan - Practice Sketchby *alvinlee

Since you guys seem to like Morrigan so much (and so do I), here's a practice sketch I did of her.

Be gentle, this was just a quickie as you can see I didn't finish it! Was just trying out a couple of different things including a different penciling style using a bit more tones.

Hope you will like it!

Approx 30min. 2H Pencil on paper.

Hey what size was the paper you started on? 11x14ish? And do you prefer something with more tooth or smoother like bristol to do quick sketches like these? O and one more thing I am just morbidly curious about here, did u use a reference to draw her from? I tend to go from my head and its nice and adding in details is fun, but a reference always lends an obvious organic edge to the work. I can see you changed some of her pose just a tad as you gestured it out. Are you going to try and ink it? When you ink, do you prefer to use nib pen or felt type markers? Love the work, dont even need to say keep it up to you and congrats on all your success.
